Like Nitemare said, you're fine... just make sure you have AT LEAST 1 GB of RAM... nothing below that, else it will run like crap (like what happened to me!).

Ok... sorry to double-post, but I just wanted you guys to know that in this better PC (1 GB RAM; Athlon 2800+ XP) Battlefield 2 runs alot better.

I just did a demo with the following settings:
1280x960 resolution; All Medium; 2x AA; 100% View Distance

I played Single-player, the Daqling Oilfields map.... I hopped into a jeep, and drove it from my flag to the enemy flag, all while recording a benchmark. Here were the results:

        Min: 31 FPS
        Max: 60 FPS
        Avg: 48 FPS

This isn't TOO bad, is it? :p An Average of nearly 50 FPS.... that's pretty smooth if you ask me, so I'm guessing it isn't bad results afterall.

A gig of good RAM will benefit any system though but it's starting to become evident that 1 gig is no longer enough for todays games.

It will be less on a 64 player server...
