Memory Voltage

I am looking in to getting new memory. I have already decided to get 1GB of OCZ Gold. Here is the link to it:

Notice how it says 2.8 volts. I was wondering if my motherboard would support it. My motherboard manual says "up to 2.5v supported." But look at this page that I found on Epox's Website:

It shows the recommended RAM for my motherboard. Some of the modules listed on there i found to be over 2.5v but not quite 2.8v. So my question is: can my motherboard support the 2.8v memory and what is important about memory voltages and overclocking them?
OR
Should I just go with th XMS memory that has been tested to work at 2.5v?

Most likely not, only because RAM is picky about its voltages. I'm surprised it takes that much for that memory. Perhaps look into some Corsair or Kingston. Remember more power = more heat.

Some of the memory on the Epox "Compatible Memory Page" is 2.75 volts. In my BIOS the default is 2.5v but I can move it up to 2.8v.
My real question is...what memory should I get? It needs to be from Newegg and under 130 bucks. I just want a gig of good memory

The 1GB of OCZ Gold is good stuff but if you up the voltage and the frequency then loosen the timings a little, don't run such aggressive timings if you run the voltage over 2.65.
2.7 is pretty much the highest you want to go, any more and you do present an element of risk to your hard payed for memory.

So if I were to get the OCZ Gold...would I have to go into my BIOS after putting it in and turn it down to 2.6v?

EDIT: My real question here: Can I get memory over 2.5v for a motherboard that says it accepts 2.5v

All that I am really trying to ask is...

I think both of those run over 2.5v but I am not sure. I am very confused as to all this because my motherboard manual says this:
"Supports single-sided or double-sided 2.5v DDR-266/333/400 DIMMs with dual channel architecture in 128/256/512Mb technologies."
What does that really mean?
