I guess ASus is the winner but I still have a lil hunch because they say that DFI is better for oc's but not stable. I want a stable mobo and able to oc. what u guys think

No offence but the fact that asus won this poll is hilarious. :laugh: Don't get me wrong, the Asus is an 'ok' board providing you don't ever want to overclock. They simply don't have the voltage or timing options.

The DFI's are designed to be overclocked, they have every voltage option you could ever need and all the necessary timing options in bios to allow for a stable overclock. I will agree that the DFI boards look like puke though. :p

Check out some proper overclocking forums and you will see that almost nobody who takes OC'ing seriously uses the asus. :nod:

DFI is a fad, they will soon be liquidated. Unlike Asus who has a strong and proven presence for gamers, overclockers and production.

If you really want to make an informed choice and overclock your board you really ought to check out some overclocker forums:- xtremesystems.org ocforums.com and hardforum.com. There is plenty of advice from seasoned overclockers at these sites and I'm sure you will see just how much the DFi is preferred by those in the know. Good luck with your purchase and beware of fan boys.

Asus has very good reputation as a manufacturer. A8N-SLI and A8N-E are both very good products.

ASUS are really good Motherboards but DFI's LAN PARTY mobos are kick ass

DAm its a dead lock I just can't amke up my mind because asus is the favorite but can't oc well n stable but the DFI LAN is great to oc and I plan on ocing a coupl ething like my 3500+ and my 7800GTX. I really want to oc but i'm a biggener in ocing and have heard that DFI has problems with stable OC and its not for beginnerswhat u guys think

I dont see why the **** you have to OC anyways. Get the Asus, go for the stability. You don't need to OC, and just because you get the Asus doesn't mean you can't OC, just the DFI is a better OC board.

the reason why I wanna oc is because even if i get the new dual core 3800+ it's like 2.0 or something and I want at least 2.5 2.6 around there. The whole reason I was asking is because I want a very good oc'ing board without the hassle of an unstable mobo.

Just go with Asus, period.

DFI is the ultimate overclocking tool,for ppls who want the last possible mhz from their computer, but i'm pretty sure youll be lost in 3sec in the dfi bios.. its not user friendly, and did you search about the cold/warm boot issues?

Battlefield 2 already have enough problems like that...

Oh and you won't see any major gaming improvement with a dual core.. you don't want a unstable board? then don't go with dfi.

I was on a edge about the two and fatmom pushed me over to asus buy mentioning a cold/warm boot issues and I don't want to mess with anything that has problems like that. and because asus is more user freindly
