Who has a RADEON X800 XL 512MB PCI Express

512MB is not worth it right now. And to the guy who said UT2007 might need it, I doubt it.

Also 512 will be used in approx. 3-4 years, but by then the jumps in technology will blow everyones mind. Some of the things they have lined up are mind boggling. Stuff like optical transmissions, diamond studded CPUs, and architecture so fast and good it will make todays computers a joke. Dual cores is just the start my friends. Dual core CPUs, dual core sound, and dual core GPUs are starting to hit the market now (or in the near future), which means 2 times the power of everything today.

Oh yes, and I have X850XT PE, and I can vouche for it.

I have a BBA X800XL 256MB, runs like a champ. You don't need the 512MB version, not worth the money by any stretch of the imagination.

hehe yeah those two cards beat it, but he is looking in the $270-$300 price range, I assume, and the X800XL is the best in that range.

By no means is it a bad card. However you must remember that video RAM is not the important thing when buying a video card. While it is important I would rank core clock and memory clock ahead of it.

And chances are, you will have to upgrade in 3-4 years anyways since games will be more demanding and the technology will be leaps and bounds of what we have today.

Dual cores on 1 card, plus SLi/Crossfire are all going to revolutionize what game programs and graphical artists can do with games. BF2 is just the begining.

Yeah, it's not a bad card, hope you got a good time playing BF2 on ultra high (well at least i am with my 256mb X800XL), so i guess, enjoy!

Yeah I can't ****in wait to see what the next few years bring. Especially with that physics chip coming out and whatever else. Once I get a job next year, I'm gonna start puttin off 50 dollars every paycheck if I have it after paying my car bill, and build up like 4000 dollars and buy a good as hell computer when all the new stuff comes out.
