Badly want to play this game. Will this do?

Been playing this game quite a bit at a friend of mine's house, and I really want to buy it myself. However I have a problem. My current computer is well, pretty crap, and I don't have a very big budget in which to improve it because I have just bought a new Xbox 360 Elite with a few games.

I'm looking for a cheap way to get on this game, and I have a couple of questions for you.

    1) Will this Graphics card be good enough to run the game well. I'm not bothered about running it on High, Medium would be great but to be honest I'd even take Low, as long as it worked! Anything is better than the 64mb card I have now, surely?

Almost forgot to link you to the card

    2) I've been told 512 mb RAM is not enough, so can I add to that another 1GB of RAM to make 1.5GB? Sorry if that is seen as a silly question, i'm a bit of a computer spec novice

Is this RAM decent, looks pretty cheap but it will do the job, right?

    3) Here is a picture of my CPU. Will it be good enough to run the game?

There we go, that's what I need to know.

Like I said, to be able to play the game on Medium would be brilliant. Will these devices let me achieve this?

If not, can you point me in the direction of some cheap but average quality items.

Thanks for reading all this and any help is much appreciated. I hope to see you on BF 2142 soon :yay:

Ah well, like I said low will do just to get on this amazing game.

Out of interest, which of the 3 things would I need to improve to play on medium?

I would have 1.5GB if I combined the RAM I have with an extra 1GB, would I not? And yes, I had the feeling I would need a better GFX card because that one is very cheap, like $35 or so in American money lol.

7300 LE sucks. It can play on low okay, but if you want to play on higher rez or higher settings, get a 7600 or better like Sniper said. Also 1.5 gigs should be enough to play pretty good, no idea about combining them though.

the game runs with 512MB ram, its what i have.
also with 7600 GS i can run on medium but loa dtimes are much better on low.

More RAM reduces load time I think.

I've got 1GB RAM and a 7600GT, does quite well on medium, can go med-high but I prefer higher FPS.

It'd be worth to spend a bit more.

EDIT: your link leads to 1GB stick of RAM... not 512. You could go with just it and then get more later, 1GB works fine.

The 512 is what I already have. I'm wondering if I can use both sticks at same time.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. Looks like a 7600 is the way forward. Cheers people.

EDIT: Is there a difference between the GS and GT models? Both are roughly the same price.

GS is slightly cheaper and isn't as good as GT I think, I don't know the exact differences, but one of them is better than the other.

On eBay they are both £60-70, but there is a lot less of the GT version.

Does anyone know places in the UK I can order this card? PC World are more expensive and I think they overcharge.
