New PC

I am planning on building a new pc in the next few weeks and i have an idea of what i want, but i would just like to check it because i have prolly made a mistake somehwere =]


+ a G5 off a different site (dabs not OCuk)
I might also get other parts from dabs because they are currently cheaper.

Looks good to me, great psu (ultra quiet) and everything else looks like it'll work fine.

i was gonna go for he GTX but the extra £100 put it over what i wanted to spend.
GTS should be good enough for my current monitor anywho (19")

Not really, and if you only have a 19" monitor, the 320mb version would also run the same as the 640mb and save you some money.

seem like a waste of money to me lol 36GB = same price as a 500GB seagate barracuda.

You don't need a raptor, I doubt you'd really notice the diff.

I certainly notice.. and that's compared to one of the perpendicular recording drives, which are the cream of the crop of the 7200s.

Very good choice. Solid machine. Make sure to update the BIOS for ensuring max compatibility to that E6750. And be prepared to take a look into BIOS if your FSB shows 266 instead of 333. My guess is that you'll have to set it manually and also the mem divider to 5:6 for it work. But I'm sure there are helps about if you just google it.

ps, imo having a raptor isnt just about the super speed, it makes sense from a reformatting pov

If you can overclock (which is not hard for C2Ds) you could drop the E6750 and get an E4300, much cheaper and gets to 3.0-3.2Ghz EASY.

Not such a good idea. Cache size for E4300 is half of the size of E6750. And With oc you'll need to juggle with memory dividers etc. Besides the difference in price is not that big.
