Hello - new to BF. Played plenty of Red Orchestra and UT2004. Picked 2142 the other day after a bit of peer pressure.

Pretty useless at it so far, but looking forward to getting to grips with it. Joined up here for tips etc. I installed the v1.40 patch unknowingly - there's about 6 Europe servers available. When's the next stable update?

The current, official public release is 1.25 which, if you didn't back up, means you'll have to reinstall and patch to 1.25 :)

1.4 is a public beta patch for the next version which should be out fairly soon. Your points and stuff still count for the beta though :)

Deesies is right on the money... if you run 1.25 you should pull up hundreds if not thousands of servers. Then you can start your battlefield career off right ... and without further ado welcome to the warzone! :-)

Well it was mentioned a couple times, how to go back to 1.25; and to take the reply of one person - whom has been here less than a month - as an indication of the mentality for the entire forum then meh to it all :P

Looks like I'm re-installing tonight - my Xfire buds are all on 1.25.

I didn't mean to tar you all with the same brush btw, I've just got no patience with 12 year old willy-wavers. Too many forums are just not worth visiting these days.
