Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
Okay so i went to the local enthusiast PC hardware shop today to get a quotation for my future upgrade and the salesperson was adamant that i get water cooling for the 4790k procs instead of air cooling.
I wanted to hear the thoughts of my fellow forum members here before i go into research.
Looking online it looks like the processor runs hot, but a lot of people are running it fine air cooled. Unless Intel themselves come out and say that it has to be water cooled, I wouldnt worry about it as long as your PC has good ventilation and air flow.
If your PC has weak/not enough fans or is against the wall or full of dirt, then I wouldn't even get the processor and go with something that doesnt run as hot. Maybe clean up your PC as well
If you plan to overclock it, then you might think about it, since the chip runs hot now.
Go with the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO and you will be happy.
Yep. I have this on my i5 2500k and it's been great for a couple of years now. Make sure you get some Arctic Silver as well and if you really want, make sure you buy a second fan for the 212 since it usually only comes with one, but can support two. The only maintenance I've done on mine outside of adding a second fan is occasionally dusting out with a can of compressed air (which, thanks to Christmas, has been upgraded to an electronic duster).
Sweet! No I don't plan on OC'ing and I clean the PC every once a month with compressed air, a hand blower and cloths. The PC is elevated and well ventilated.
I guess the person was trying to sell me the idea of WC but honestly I couldn't be arsed I'm happy with air cooling always have beens, cheers for the assist fellas.
