What the **** are you on about lad?

@Topic, does seem like it could well be a memory leak. I have already done the .exe change for PR that allows it to use more than 2GB or ram so Im surprised to manages to consume it all(if it is this) so fast.

Going to check RAM levels next time I play.

Here is some of the stuff I have tried:

              all compatibility modes.
3 different video drivers, including betas.
              changing affinity to one core.
              closing all non-essential programs.
              disabling aero.
              disabling antivirus.
              bf2 alt-tab fix.
              changing pagefile size.
              full manual uninstall and reinstall.
              re-installing PB & services.
tried different settings in nvidia control panel.
              disabling physx.
              changing pb_sleep and security.

Nothing has fixed the problem. It has to be a driver issue / memory leak because when i swap back in my other hdd running vista ultimate x64 it works fine. when I monitor the memory usage the memory does slowly climb up.

                Re: Win7 framerate problem

Im sure it will be addressed in microsoft patches or service pack 1 eventually but it doesnt sound too good

you know it reminds me of early vista before updates

have u tried the memory cleaner in a free program call "advanced system care 3"?it might save on reboots so often?

IObit Advanced SystemCare helps clean, speed up, and secure your PC effortlessly. The best free PC cleaner optimizes Windows systems for better performance!

been using it for years for registry cleaning, has a tennie bit of adds in free version but like i said it has a memory cleaner(its in utilities and called smart ram)

                  Re: Win7 framerate problem

actually when i had a simular problem with vista i found it was the pagefile that fills up ,so even having no pagefile could be a temp fix depending on your amount of ram? or have you increased the pagefile to try that too?

think my pagefile is set at a big 8GB -10GB now with only 4 GB Ram to make it help

windows normally sets it at 6.5 but i played with it alot

Disabling compatibility mode for me (unticking it) seems to have fixed it.

Just on my PR/BF2 shortcut. Well it seemed to work, after a reboot the issue came back so I think I was wrong :\
