But you CAN'T upgrade from vista ultimate to 7 home premium. I tried.

Not really, the Ubuntu is relatively lightweight, and the W2k3 is running on a remote server.
As you can see on the gadget in the upper right corner, I am only using 39% of my 4 GB.

ah using xp mode at its default ram setting, i upped mine to 2gb, 512mb is just too slow,

I've finally upgraded, I was just putting it off until I got my new hard drive. So much easier to install that XP was :awes

Installed it just an hour ago... installing drivers is a pain Semms to work like a charm though, only game I got to try so far is Tropico 3 and it runs loads better than on my old PC.

My $10.50 copy of Windows 7 Ultimate hasn't arrived yet since it takes them a while to call Best buy to confirm I'm working there, BUT I got Win7 Pro for $40 via the student thing. That copy is for my dad though. Aren't I a good son!?! LoL.

Not sure if it counts as upgrading to seven but my netbook came in on thursday. Out of the box its XP but the australian government upgraded to seven! Everything is blocked though, facebook, TGN . Tried getting a naughty copy of red alert 2 to work but so far no good.
