Uses 800MB RAM?!

Something must be wrong here. Foxytunes is off, cooliris is not running, skype is off... wtf?

This large consumption freezes my webpage (while scrolling/fast movements) every 10 seconds, and then continues.

Any ideas?

Firefox uses 43.716MB for me with nothing loaded except regular pages.
If you use Firefox with no plugins, themes, customizations, etc. resource usage is pretty low.
Once you add plugins, etc. is when the resource usage start to increase.

Calling Firefox a lightweight browser is like calling Ubuntu a lightweight operating system. It's just not right.

As for your situation, I imagine there's some kind of memory leak with firefox.

Windows, Snow Leopard, Ubuntu, Debian, RedHat, CentOS, Gentoo, etc. are lightweight until you start installing things :). For Windows if you don't install anything after a fresh install it runs pretty lightweight when you add in the requirements for graphics, etc. but once you start configuring things the usage starts to go up as services are enabled and apps are installed.

There appears to still be a memory leak problem with Firefox as the memory will normally start creeping up if you are using addons/plugins, etc. (installing flash player, quicktime, etc.). Barebones Firefox runs at 43.716MB for me with nothing extra installed and stays around that for hours maybe jumping up and down a few KB but still in the 43MB range.

Ironically, that's twice the number of add-ons that I have now than what I had when I posted, and my Firefox is stable at 150MB.

It's after a few hours that it kicks into 800MB

Sounds like a mem leak to me. Better patch it up.
