    Hi guys,

Never mind the my system list on the side as that is my rig back home, i am writing from my university dorm computer.

PSU and was wondering if it would work with either cards below:

Check out the brand new RTX 30 Series graphics cards at Ebuyer. We have a huge range of NVIDIA GeForce RTX and GTX GPUs at the best prices you'll find online.

Ca't say i've ever heard of that brand. I usually go for a known company to be safe :|:

right since i got the PC from Cyberpower i sent them an email as well as i posted a thread too. I am not sure if i want to buy a PSU as well as a gfx but what i do know is that i damn well aint buying a gfx if it is gonna mess my system up.

Oh i currently have an 8800GT in my uni system so is that any assurance that this PSU will run a 98 or the 88GTS 512?

9800GT is the exact same card as the 8800GT, few tweaks to power usage and stuff maybe but it will perform the same.

9800GTS will be slightly faster but its not worth an upgrade from a GT.

Unless your going to move to a 4870 or GTX260 i doubt any upgrades will really be worth it.

Yea, the only upgrade worth its money is a 4870 1GB or 260 core 216.

                  8800gts 512mb is old technology.

The 4850 will be faster than the 8800gt, but not worth the money upgrading. Get a 4870 1GB, although make sure you have a decent quality 500W+ PSU.

i would just stick with what you have mate, i wouldnt trust that PSU with a 4870 so that upgrade option would cost you upwards of £200 and anything less would just be a waste of money.

right, then i guess i will postpone the option of upgrading some time after easter. I will be upgrading PSU and gfx.

Roger that Eagle. A good way to check performance and see if you are making a good purchase is to check out reviews and benchmarks.

www.guru3d.com has a ton of these, and there are many many other good websites. (Tom's Hardware, Anandtech, CPU Benchmark, etc...)

Damn that looks good, do you think that would be able to keep my system steady? And my uni case aint exactly great its a NZXT Apollo so is heating going to be an issue? Thanks a bunch btw

                              *EDIT

Okay, i created an account there, and the total came up to with (free 3-4 day service)

Total Basket Value: £200.08 inc vat

Before i make this final, i wanted to inquire about this: http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/s....html?XFX-4850

And as well as about heating issues of any sort as mentioned before about my case, even though i dont see high rising temps after gaming on my 88GT i heard the HD48s run a little hot. Thanks.
