What Sega and Creative Assembly have done with the Total War Series Is brilliant, i have played every total war game from Shogun to Medieval 2 and i absolutely loved them, and i am looking forward to Empire total war.

Empire: Total War Demo is out now, and that game is awesome. :)

I saw a one of the naval battles when CA was in the office last week, and commented that the ocean looked amazingly realistic. (On top of which, they were playing on maxed out Alienware laptops.)

The response I got was that they actually had someone who worked on the ocean - just the ocean - for 14 months. Come in, work on the ocean, go home, for literally over a year. I'm almost surprised that guy still has his sanity, but the dedication really shows when you see it in action.

Speaking freely, I agree - and I think a lot of people would too - that the original Iron Man game could have been much improved. Good news there; I've been hearing firsthand that there are a lot of plans to focus much more heavily on quality with movie tie-in games from here on in. Today we also announced that we're partnering to publish the game for Planet 51, an animated film by the team that made Shrek. The cast is pretty much all-star, they even have the actor who played Sir Lancelot / The Black Knight from Monty Python doing one of the voices.

Sonic is - and always will be - an interesting topic for discussion; lately I've been beating all the games in the Genesis Collection, as the oldschool ones are definitely among my favorites.

Empire: Total War is gonna rock, I have the special forces version on pre-order from GAME, that means I'll probably get it a day early!
