    Hello from SEGA!

    Hey everyone,

Little shout out from from San Francisco - I'm Aaron, and I'm one of our community managers on titles here at SEGA. I'll be around to answer questions if anyone has them, but more importantly, a bit about me as a gamer...

I grew up with the SEGA Genesis. Oldschool Sonic took up a lot of my childhood. I regret none of it. I'm a big fan of the Dreamcast, the Phantasy Star series, and more recently have been addicted to Portal and the Orange Box.

I was(am?) a pretty big SEGA fanboy, so I was really lucky to get to come work here. Right now I'm doing all sorts of cool stuff with some of our more awesomely graphic titles, like MadWorld and The House of the Dead.

I'll also be around at NYCC, so if anyone is in the area during the event and wants to stop by, give a shout and I'll see if we can hook you up with some free swag. :)

Thanks, and nice to meet you all!

    - Aaron

No problems there, I still remember collecting all the stars in Super Mario 64 and (trying) vainly to get all the top medals in the original Rogue Squadron. Those were good times.

Howdy sir! Share the Sega love.

House of Dead has swallowed rolllls of my quarters. And Madworld looks like it's shaping up to be one of the few truly epic third-party titles on the Wii.
Actually lol, I recently bought all four Genesis Sonic titles (1, 2, 3, &K), now I just need to find the time to play them in between reviews. awwwh the days.... I broke two Genesis' because I left Sonic 2 and then Sonic 3 on for two days straight.

ANYWAY, glad to have you here!

Blue streak speeds by.. SONIC THE HEDGEHOG. Man now I want to find full episodes I loved this series.

I am the same as eldri my brother and I used up so much money playing House of the Dead 1 & 2 on arcade.

                  SEGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

I own nearly every classic Sonic game in the form of remake collections and I have to say this: thank you. Some of the greatest childhood memories I'll ever remember.

Hah, nice! When I was younger, my little brother and I would pop Sonic 3+Sonic & Knuckles together and go through getting all 14 emeralds. I remember doing the same as far as leaving it on, then waking up the next morning eager to keep playing. I actually played through the old Sonic games a couple years back, they've aged really well and are definite classics.

Thanks for the welcome! Did you know they actually compiled both of the seasons of that show into a DVD collection recently? I used to watch those on Saturday mornings as a kid, and even today I am really impressed with how well-done the entire series was, from animation to plot to voice actors. This link might strike your interest Manzi.

I remember when my bro first showed me super sonic in 3 and how my jaw was unhinged for like 30 min straight. I don't think any games other prior to the last two gens came close to how much I played Sonic 2.

I think I'm going to playthrough some classics this summer:
                        all four 3D Zeldas,
all 3 Sonics (+ Knuckles where applicable),
a selective # of Mario games (not a fan of Sunshine or the American # 2)
                        all 4 Metal Gear Solids.

I remember that show now! I loved it much more than the other more cartoony one cause it was so dark.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy your stay.

                            Good day sir.

                            Sonic destroyed my childhood education.

Oh cool this was the only Sonic Cartoon that I liked so much more darker and mature and it followed the comic more so then Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog. I just didn't enjoy that cartoon as much and the new ones I just can't get into.

I use to buy the comics for years but after the shop owner died and the place changed ownerships I stopped buying the comics. Shame too because I have SOOOOO many.
