I know they had planned for this feature to be in Vista, but to actually see it in action now after YEARS of having to reboot for updates and drivers is ... it's awesome.

Since pretty much anything you can do in Windows 7, you can do in Windows Vista, hopefully we'll see this feature come to Vista as well. If not, oh well.

I just had my mind freaking BLOWN AWAY by Win7. I had originally installed the latest official drivers from Nvidia for Windows Vista on Win7. Then I read how it causes a lot of crashing and stuttering in Left 4 Dead and Fallout 3.

So I head back to nVidia's page and see that they have Win7 drivers and all I have to do is run Windows update. I did, expecting the usual crap of having to reboot... and nope.

The screen just flickered for a moment and it came back saying that the installation of the drivers was complete. Blew my mind.

I know they had planned for this feature to be in Vista, but to actually see it in action now after YEARS of having to reboot for updates and drivers is ... it's awesome.

Duuuude! I just tried that! IMMENSE! I love this OS <3

I was having troubles updating my drivers before but now i just say update drivers for this hardware, and voila...done!

It's probably because they measure things differently in 7. Just a guess at that though. Plus it goes up to 7.9 so they might've spread out the scores from before.

Did anybody else's Windows Experience Index go UP? My memory went down to 5.4, but my lowest score, my CPU, went up from 5.0 to 5.4.

I found one bug which is quite funny. Win7 sidebar turns off when UAC is set to disabled!

Anyway, on to more important matters, how do i make the icons smaller?

Taskbar icons are made smaller in the same place I mentioned that you can make the Taskbar function like in Vista. I believe it's a checkbox option.

I pretty much have ignored everything in your post and will continue to do so until you post benchmarks proving that Win7 has a significant performance gain over WinXP.

Qualify your remarks and stop trolling. You haven't responded to my previous posts. So unless you can backpedal yourself up to where you were last countered....and continue the discussion from there using logic instead of emotions, the convo ends here.

Win7 has NEGLIGIBLE performance gain over WinXP. I don't know why on earth that is so offensive to you. Why are you trying to sell Win7 for MS? What stake do you have in it?

i dont see that u can..stick with it alex it will start to burn in..its pretty nice how it all work..aside from the fact i feel like they are trying to keep me on the left side of the fregin screen all the time with the wana be dell quick bar thingy lol so..
