Can anyone suggest a good gaming laptop. I want to get one now since I need a new computer and I am going to a University next year so I will need a laptop anyways.

No, but for the price of a gaming laptop you could get an equivalent desktop and have enough leftover for a basic laptop for portability.
That's not even the point of the OP, he WANTS a laptop, we advise him on a LAPTOP. I don't care if there is a desktop that can win out on a cost-analysis, he doesn't want one, upgrade or no upgrade.
Furthermore, there are laptops for $1500 that can perform at the same level as a 1200$ -1500$ laptop.
I included the 13.3 laptops because of their portability and they can do gaming on low-medium settings. I'm buying the sony, so I should be able to review it soon. :p
I cant comment on sager. Never seen one or read about them.
I have a Toshiba 17" with Nvidia 8600 and SLI - 2GB mem and Core2Duo. The only bottleneck I have is net speed - the laptop blows through CoD4/5 with no issues at high settings.
I bought it from Amazon, about a year ago. They had it on sale, and I saved about $300. That link listed 5, the one I got was the Toshiba Satellite X205-SLI1:

The only thing I can say is there's a lot of crapware preloaded on the Toshiba that you should yank off of it, but that seems to be true of most PCs these days.
For $2,499 you can get a Sager NP5797 with a top spec graphic card 9800M GTX 1GB DDR3 memory and Blu-ray reader. With this you can max most games at 1920x1200 with high framerates apart from Crysis. Best gaming laptop for the price imo.
