I'm using it now, and about to go back to firefox, which has more addons, although this thing does have a built in spell check, which is telling me I'm spelling loads of things wrong ¬.¬

However the worst thing is its lagging the :awes gif for me!

Ive seen no speed problems with firefox and a broadband connection, I'm not convinced.

There are no speed problems with firefox. Chrome just has a special javascript engine so it loads pages MUCH faster than firefox can.

I'm not a fan of Chrome. The scroll issues, the lack of a free scroll, inability to cycle through tabs easily, lack of a master password, add-on support lacking, etc etc.

I'll stick with FF, and probably will continue to do so even after Chrome is out of BETA, if it ever is.

No adblock (or any addons for that matter) = not switching from Firefox. It would be stupid for Google to let people block thier own mean of getting revenue though.

Firefox and Chrome are about equal for most pages. Chrome just has a javascript engine so it can load pages heavy on java faster.

Agreed Firefox isn't slow.

There's a lot of features under the hood that are explained in that comic I posted previously in the thread (http://www.google.com/googlebooks/chrome/index.html). Personally I think most of those things make Google Chrome more valuable than Firefox.

Google Chrome is built from scratch and is FULLY OPEN SOURCE.
This means that anyone can take the code and modify it. Addons and Plugins and things like that will come later as developers embrace Chrome. You can even have a custom version of the browser (assuming someone makes it).

I also haven't seen any real issues other than lack of free scroll.

This is from Rebecca Ward, Senior Product Counsel for Google Chrome.

"In order to keep things simple for our users, we try to use the same set of legal terms (our Universal Terms of Service) for many of our products. Sometimes, as in the case of Google Chrome, this means that the legal terms for a specific product may include terms that don't apply well to the use of that product. We are working quickly to remove language from Section 11 of the current Google Chrome terms of service. This change will apply retroactively to all users who have downloaded Google Chrome."

Well, If you're dumb enough to get Rick-Rolled (like me) at least Chrome can help you get out of it out faster:



I wonder if they added that feature due to rick-rolling. At least you don't have to scramble for Ctrl+Alt+Del when it happens.

Yeah it is a bit faster in the initial loading of a web page.. The scroll thing isn't much of an issue for me.. but it looks sht.. I like my shiny black aquatint FF

As well as all the other nifty little add on's Firefox has.
