GeForce 8800GT

I was thinking about buying this card the other day because the newest version of PR completely nukes my old but trusty 6800.

It was fairly cheap, (1000 Norwegian kroner) and im thinking about buying it. Whats your thoughts on this card?

But the 8800GT is still and excellent card! I don't have any problems with crysis on very high. BUY BUY BUY!

My 8800GT handles everything I throw at it, bar Crysis on Very High with AA.

My step dad has an 8800GT.. It handles crysis quite well so PR wont even dent it's performance.

8800 GT is pretty good card. I dont think you will go wrong. They also beat up on the 9x series a bit

The 88GT works great with pretty much any game these days. Go for it

I don't know your other specs tho, mind posting them? Make sure you have PCI-E on your motherboard and not AGP.

Don't buy the 8800gt now!

For roughly the same price you can get a Radeon HD4850 which is more powerful, is capable of Crossfire in the future (it actually works as well). The 8800gt was very good value card a while back, the new ATI efforts have kind of overshadowed it.

You should have come to Tech Centre for better advice.

Yep it does (at least here in Sweden), so if you have the money to spend on the 4870 go for that card instead, even better bang for the buck.

If you won't play much more than PR waaah a 88GT is the best choice tho.

I agree with Alex, the 88GT is good and its a "bang for your buck" card. I will probably go with the 4850 though. ANd what is your system specs?
