Does having the fan on 100% all the time cause any damage to the fan bearings or anything like that?

Regarding drivers, it's recommended by ATI/Nvidia to uninstall the old ones, but I've installed new ones without uninstalling, and nothing noticeable has happened yet.

It does reduce the lifetime of the card, but, by the time the fan engine goes, the card will probably be in a scrap pile somewhere.

Even if it went sooner (this will only happen if there is a manufacturing defect) it will be replaced under warranty.

I am leaving it under auto control, i will turn it up when in-game, is that alright?
