Hopefully your OS will install without the computer shutting down like mine did, had to disable some stuff in bios, did you get a Gigabyte P35 mobo?
It might be worth downloading updates for all your hardware in advance, as the drivers you'll get with it will be out of date and possibly not compatible with vista 64.
so your saying that i need to load stuff into the bios before i even install the OS? or are you saying it would be more convenient to DL the stuff i need and put it on a USB travel drive and just dump it onto the computer after vista is installed?

yes, it is better to do this instead of loading drivers off the cd's because those will be out of date

BTW, he doesn't mean install it into the BIOS... that isn't even possible, before you try and do so.
