No; it just does a better job than XP without them, while still needing them eventually, if you get what I mean.

But you don't need any of those drivers..apart from forceware

As in it will operate to a point without them but still needs them to run properly.

Hopefully your OS will install without the computer shutting down like mine did, had to disable some stuff in bios, did you get a Gigabyte P35 mobo?
It might be worth downloading updates for all your hardware in advance, as the drivers you'll get with it will be out of date and possibly not compatible with vista 64.

                  got a LANparty X38 for about $180

so your saying that i need to load stuff into the bios before i even install the OS? or are you saying it would be more convenient to DL the stuff i need and put it on a USB travel drive and just dump it onto the computer after vista is installed?

yes, it is better to do this instead of loading drivers off the cd's because those will be out of date

BTW, he doesn't mean install it into the BIOS... that isn't even possible, before you try and do so.

Sound drivers, graphics drivers, RAID drivers, motherboard drivers, Mice drivers, keyboard drivers

But, remember, all of these are usually included in the software you download to configure each.
