Previously, a Chinese who somehow acquired an early engineering sample of 45nm Deneb reported 3.5GHz on air with an MSI with 790FX/SB600. He also demonstrated that early ES already perform 10% better than current Phenom clock for clock. Now this? 4.0GHz on stock HSF!? If 45nm Deneb is that good, then AMD may as well do another "RV770" to Intel, provided if they price it right just like 4850/4870.
If they did it right and release 2.8GHz version at $235, then there is a hope to build a gaming rig for under $600 in November, and yet have twice the performance the money can buy 6 month earlier. PC gaming is dying? I don't think so anymore.
