I want your opinion about this new comp i'm probably gonna buy. Here are the specs:

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 - 2,4GHz - 1066MHz FSB - 2 x 4MB L2
3GB DDR2 SDRAM
750GB - Serial ATA-300 - 7200 tpm
DVDRW-DL
NVIDIA GeForce 9600GT Superclocked 512MB GDDR3

What do you think about it? A buy or no-buy?

Prices and exact parts would be nice. If they're cheap enough it might be worth it. You could probably get a lot better for not much more monies though.

If you have the money go with 4gig, and check performance of going with a 8800gt vs 9600gt.

It looks like he's going for a dell. Don't bash him for doing it, there are lots of good reasons, main one being is if something breaks, dell sends you a new one no questions asked.

ahahah, that's what RMA's and warranties to do. And, when you get replacement parts from Dell, they are refurbished, not new.

a 9600gt is no joke, a 4850 is better but if its a dell or hp of some sort i would grab it.

If it is a dell I suggest the first thing you do is reformat and install a fresh copy of Windows to get all the bloatware off.

Price is really important.

But just from that, I'd get less CPU (eg E8x00) and more GPU. (ATI 4xx0)

It's no Dell and doesn't have any software, but i have Windows XP right here so i can install it when i get it.

I know prices are different in Europe, but it comes out to about $1018 USD. That seems a bit much for those specs...

Build it yourself please please please..You will get a better deal and better stuff and better customisation and you will know every part inside your PC and how good it is..Give me some european sites for PC stuff and i will make a list...
