oh noes! Creative + vista = fail. Seriously. Its true what they say about creatives drivers. I get BSOD's, "underwater" VOIP and all sorts of issues. Creative dont seem to care, just check out their support forums. :shock:

Personally i have had no issues with creative and vista x64. I just updated to the latest drivers that were available and i haven't had a single issue.

Yea, there are drivers that came out a week or two ago in case you don't know.

Finally got the card installed, haven't been able to test it out yet though. I did have to boot Windows in safe mode after the driver install from the CD that came with it. After I upgraded to the newly released drivers though, it all worked fine.

I have a question though, what settings do you guys use for the "Game Mode?" At the moment I have these:

Game Mode - 5.1 Speakers - SVM Off
EAX Enabled - 1.0 dB
X-Fi CMSS-3D Enabled - 100%
X-Fi Crystalizer Enabled - 100%

I have the xtreme gamer and I love it. I bought these headphones to go with it thinking they would be "ok" and they are simply amazing. The mids and highs are extremely crisp and clear and best of all the headphones are able to hit notes almost as low as the subwoofers in my car can. I was extremely impressed.

For settings:
Crystilzer: 60%, some songs or games just get too raspy sometimes if its higher
X-Fi CMSS-3D Enabled - 100%
EAX Enabled - 0.0db haven't really had a chance to play with this yet
game mode - headphones - svm off ( I experimented with this and its a nice feature but I think I like it better without)

I had a X-Fi extreme Music, and whilst it worked it was an awesome card, just wasnt the best with vista, carried on just randomly giving up and just giving me the most high pitched scream ever.

In the end i sold it to my brother, who uses XP, and its fine, but i invested in an Asus Xonar D2, and its worth every penny, totally different gaming experience, even to the X-Fi, and every sound that comes out of my speakers and headphones is crystal clear.
