The 8800 GTS (G92) will out perform the 9600 GT.

Also 512MB is more than enough for 1440 by 900, I have the old 8800 GTS 320MB and all my games run great at that resolution

the g92 8800 is really fast but the 9600 is no joke either and at 150$ I would seriously consider it.

Exactly they are both fantastic cards for their money, but still the 88GTS is more attractive, they both have the same architecture its just that one is mid range and one is high end imho.
