great deal?

I always wanted a labtop since last year but it would have cost me 2g+ for nething high up like t7200 + 2gb ram + an 8600 vid card or something.

Well now that I was looking around for some information on some mobo I came across the laptops again and I see this great deal (in my eyes from a year ago this rocks!).

I'm just curious for some opinions though, because I was never sure about the vid cards on these lappys.

Just in cosnideration the popular gaming laptop maker Rock is going into administration so they might become a hell of a lot cheaper just to shift them but they will probably have little or no warranty or anythig like that....Just to let you know before you go buying..but yeh that laptops looks nice

Personally, I wouldn't mix gaming and laptops. I have a laptop myself, but they cost more and you can't really build one yourself.

Unless you need to be gaming on the road or something.... :p

Ya I understand but I don't want a slow lappy and on top of that I should be heading down to Bermuda end of the month for a whole month for work - Bound to be some moments when I'll be bored and can't do nething or maybe I'll be waiting to start working for an hour (was to meet up with the others @ 9, they didn't make it until 10 and I jus sat there bored).

I dunno any canadian sites but i do know some US good custom made laptops for as little as 14 hundred USD (1,400).

I am in Uni right now and ofc i need a laptop, cant ship my rig half way round the globe, so i ordered one from NY,USA from a site called Hypersonic-PC.com i ordered an Aviator SR5. it costed me 1600USD which is frankly cheap to my currency. What i can recommend for you is what i recommended for a mate of mines, Sager.com!

Better procs T8*** and T9*** instead of the old T7***. I got an 86GT and a T7500 which was new at the time. imo what u posted is NOT a great deal.

All I know about laptop gaming is that you usually need an external cooler/fans to keep it stable if you're gonna be playing gfx intensive games. :)

Ya I left TGN just as I was quiting bf2. I always ended up spending more time on tgn than bf2 and I just left the two altogether. When I came back, TGN had the huge merge which actually merged my accounts into another guys with the same name.

But I own and I'm the real deal so I'm here to stay with my name:)

Definately like keeping this site to keep me in the loop for compy things.

And this laptop is crazy cool! It's got everything!!!:)

I was scared and wasn't sure if I could enjoy bf2 on this laptop but looks like in for a real treat!

I think my most intensive game right now is cod4 and C&C Tiberian Wars but luckly enough I hate the two now lol. Well just Tiberian wars neways, F'ing EA never fails to release a ****ier C&C game (misses Westwood).

cod4 is cool and all but I got sick of this random noob fire through walls bs, the air strikes and 100% accurate heli gun that even finds a sniper in the grass proned not moving...

And the maps suck. In bf2 you could actually sit at one end of the map and not see the other end - Very nice if you actually wanted to sneak into a position as a sniper instead of more than likely being seen the moment you stick your head out.

But hey I'm not slamming cod4 all too much, it definately does have a lot of great features, just those are the few things I really didn't like about it.

Oh ya they need a better PB because I got banned twice from two clans for apparently being a hacker... A little too much ownage with the MP5 and silencer I guess lol. But they couldn't prove it so like wtf? I never have used a hack in a fps game, thats just stupid and destroys and whole concept of it.

Woah sorry I went off like that about cod4, my bad. As you can see I didn't leave very content with it lol.

As for specs, well you all know my res, its in the 2nd link so I'm assuming your res cannot be ne less?

Ah dont wry bout CoD4 for the most of it you are right the Helis and Air strikes do get frustrating after a while mate. C&C 3 Tiberium Maxes out i tried it, although keep in mind my GPU in the laptop differs from the one you have which is a 9500M hopefully that will match even higher than the 86M GT.
