        It's not even every couple of years, more like 4-5.

        And, software costing £60 (OEM) that holds your computer together for 5 years isn't a bad deal IMO.

          Ok cr@p reading this thread just made myself pretty dumb of having purchased the XP Pro for 130$ when I could've got VIsta Home Premium 64bits for 120$ .... :S

          and for the ram usage, does XP only recognize around 3.5g (among the 4G) technically-speaking, but still run the ram properly; I mean that won't do any real hardware damage to the memory sticks, doesn't it ?

              Yep, you will have to have a 64bit operating system to use 4GBs of RAM or more.
