Dan's right, to students, that's a lot of money. When i bought my camera, the next version up was £30 more. Whilst it may not seem a lot, the difference between spending £100 and £130 was pretty big for me.

£30 is almost a weeks grocery shopping here, you could get two good nights out on it. So, don't start telling me how little $60 (£30) is, because your not in my position.
Your position doesn't really matter as does mine.. I'm giving you this info based on Inflation and how the products today are sold on prices which revolve around inflation and how the job markets apply raises on a percentage with the GNP.

When you can get a top end Graphics card today for 330$ when about 5years ago you could get the top end for over 550$ thats a big difference although inflation is dictating how much you pay for everything else including fuel and a happy meal.

I don't want to start talking economics here cause its way off topic. :)

naw we are talking about if its worth it to upgrade and it is.. if he's making a jump from a Reference 8800GTX or lower.. if he's on a OCed version or a ultra then no it wouldn't be regardless of the difference of numbers there is a difference and the prices dictate that big time!

So why do so many people disagree with you?

Or is your point of view the the only right one?

So what your saying is the majority can't be wrong either? Pretty selfish or egotistic no matter how you put it.

I'm not saying I'm wrong or right..i'm reading economics based upon the difference of two cards and the numbers are the only constant we have in the world.

                    So u want Sniper1432 to jump from an 88GTS (G80) to a 9800GTX which is a G92?!!?

you know this is what i say, if your card still plays the games you want at a satisfactory rate and you are happy then by all means there is no need to upgrade, once again Sniper's card is pretty good, its not like its fail/ i would have to agree with the majority here as i have done in other threads, i guess sniper can hold out to his card and save a few extra $$$ for the real cards, once they are out they should hold for like 3 or more yrs.
