Do you have a custom theme on? If so that might be it..If not..I have no ideas sorry..And yes i agree with your statement about spamming staff..Alex spams quite a lot..While if i step one foot out of line it gets deleted...

There's not a lot to diagnose here. It isn't like your video card is failing or anything. Its hard to know what the source of the problem is from just knowing that the problem happened.

Anyway the only thing I could think of was the same as Hellsent.

re-install the whole OS or go back to XP, sry thats all i got mate wish i could help more, oh btw, if problems like that hit me, i usually go to a local repair shop.

Nah its not the GPU it's Aero for vista thats failing.. i know its aero because i had this problem before and i went into the setting's and disabled aero then enabled it again and it went back to working.. but i want to know how i can actually stop it from doing it in the first place.. has it never happend to any of u guys?

i have XP here so its tempting.. but vista looks nice and has the gadgets.. i need to download SP1 maybe that will fix it :)

Dude, yeah get SP1, and if that does not work out in any way, then, put XP back on with SP3 and google Vista theme for XP my friend has it ans its quite the eye candy once i actually thought he had vista just by looking at the theme and decided to dnld the theme the next day

once i get my mouse replaced i will be happy.. because apart from this aero thing which is a vista problem the pc has been working fine :) oh.. and i need to get the tv card to work >.< damitt i forgot about that stupid pc's!!!

ah i was the same as u, i was with my mum in London, prior to leaving to New York with her i was being so hysterical about my laptop not arriving on time and sh!t, i was so pissed and afraid that it might have tech probs and stuff, ne ways i guess i felt like u, don't fret about it, everything will turn out fine mate

You didn't happen to have a game or some other full screen 3D app running at the time did you? If so that is completely normal as Vista automatically turns Aero off when a full screen 3D app is running.
