well i think getting a 16 mb cache with that drive would be better then the 8 mb cache it comes with.. ..Hello, I know this is like the 5th time I have done this, but I finally got a job and money. So here is my idea.
Case + PSU
Motherboard
Processor (Waiting for the E7200 to come out in May)
Ram
Hard Drive
DVD Burner
Vid Card = Already have a 7800GTX
Any thoughts on this? This will be used for BF2, COD4, WoW and other games....how should this thing run those?
your going to notice a big difference in that...
the board is ok..i mean the cooling on it should work as long as your not overclocking...you can see that is a medium range board it has lil mini heat sinks on it etc etc..great price...i nearly wish i had got that since i don't use half the stuff on my board...
the case is ok i see lots of opinion generated off that..
put it to ya this way..get a case you like because, you will have to see it everyday not them..if you like the way it looks then get it ..
my self i got a asus vento f1 red gaming case and everyone says the same crap about it every time they see it ...
(fact is i get lower temps then most people do with my case...)
i think your bottle neck will be your video card....:)
which i can recommend getting a 9600gt ...Comment

Antec900 and CM690 are booth good cases. agree on the card with minx, but thats only if U have a need or want to change it and get some performance for nowadays games. ram is fine, mobo is a P35 which is good, HDD is ok, but as minx mentioned there will be diff if the cache size is bigger.
Overall the set up u mentioned excluding the case is fine :)Comment

Taking your guys advice...thanks for it by the way!
Here is a newer set up...
CM690 Case
Antec Power Trio
Gigabyte P35 Mobo
E8300 (Comes out 4/20...some benchmarks on it)
G.SKILL 2GB Ram
Seagate 250GB HD
7800GTX (Already have)
Total = $602
Total + Shipping + OS = Around 700
Not bad on the price. What do you guys think about this build now? All the bolded are things I decided to upgrade a bit
Should I worry about getting a Zalman 9500?Comment

If you want to overclock then get an aftermarket cooler..If your just gonna go up by a few Mhz then stick with the stock for now and grab a zalman Or a TRUE or a tuniq in the near futureComment
