theres about 15% performance difference between them, and the price gap is double that, not worth it tbh,

^^ i mean in price btw i saw the tech review, the 3870 is quite good, not looking forward to get 88GT since 3870 is at a good price, but in terms of pricing is what i ment. sry for complications and thread jacking.

I've seen 8800gt's go as low as $188 recently (with rebates of course). So... not that much of a price difference.

and 8800gt > 9600gt IMO.

yeah i know 88gt pwns teh 96 but here in the UK i see the 3870 at acceptable price rates!

Plus i heard mostly good revs from it!

thats because we have to pay tax ontop of the RRP.. so we get royally screwed when it comes to computer parts
