    3-gpu Sli

Just got an e-mail from Nvidia, thought this new board was interesting...

Real-time ray tracing, AI-powered DLSS 2.0, and programmable shading.

SLI is hardly popular, what makes them think tri-sli will work?

When they put out a graphics card that can actually handle Crysis at non-slideshow framerates, I'll be impressed. 30fps is a load of raw bollocks.

i don't think is worth it. SLI doesn't give you 2x the performance. more like 1.5x

yeah it is pointless, SLi needs to be completely reworked for it to work properly

It will be very popular once people start going to larger LCD's... Its pretty much for the higher resolutions.

Read here into a nice review of em:

If I felt like spending the money and had a 40+inch LCD I'd do it..but that money also needs to account for the power consumption I'll be paying for each month!

                      GeForce 7950GX2

Quad SLI is hardly just for Ati owners.

Thankfully for GFX companies, gamers are the stupidest demographic in the industry.

SLI is pointless, and a gimmick to get people to buy two cards.

On average, SLI only averages a 40% performance increase. And only benefits those with dual monitors that are the high-end of the market running at insane resolutions with all eye-candy turned on. Hardly worth it for the average user. But hey...it's bragging rights ain't it?

Well we all know that proto(so i hope),with it only being towards the high end video cards it is only for extreme enthusiasts.

Nope, it won't, unless the price of cards decrease significantly. The introduction of technologies such as PCI-E 2.0 means it's possible to build faster cards with more memory and not bottleneck them.
If people were to want 2 graphics processors, i suspect they would be sold in a 1PCB, 2chips arrangement, like SLI on the card, but i can't see that happening..

I like this idea better. However, I have no idea how this will fit in a computer because the 3870 I have now is up against my hard drives.
