I have 32bit Vista Business and it's awesome! No probs so far

I actually had more BSOD's and CTD's on XP!

vista is great but im running xp now because i like the game performance. but according to some benchmarks, vista is faster for everything (except for gaming).

vista is ok for alpha-class malware.

                        it's iffy for beta.

                        buying it would be absurd.

                        my opinion.

Hmm. The new interface is nice. For what comes to core OS functionalities Vista does not bring anything new to the table for a gamer user. The vaunted DX10 phenomenom is yet to be seen really.

Some of the stuff I miss most is cmd interface along with familiar surroundings. I mean I still have to look for some stuff like network settings etc.

The biggest annoyement for me has been the registry start-up blocking. I know MS means well by blocking unsigned drivers starting from registry but it's just too much you can't over ride it. At least I have found no cure for it.

Another thing I very strongly dislike is the OS internet usage. Practically every program like diskfrag, screensaver, MS paint, notepad tries to access the internet. It's just plain wrong.

Not all the games work butter smooth with Vista. I manage to crash Railsroads! quite often which never happened with XP. The game crashes even in XP compatibility mode. So there might be problems especially if they are a bit older and exotic ones.

All in all I would not change back to XP anymore. Vista has come to stay and I better get used to it...

If you still can live without it then you are really in no hurry to up-grade. But if you are setting up new system I would not bother putting XP in it anymore.
