I hated the shaky camera, but otherwise it was a great film.

Slumdog Millionaire- a must watch. Entertaining, frightening, compelling, and moving. Even though the film is based on a fictional, I believe, novel, similar traumatizing events have taken place before. Humans are greedy, foul, self-serving, pernicious, prejudiced, yet they don't signify an impregnable barrier; anything can be overcome. The end result of this film is a feeling of awe and contentment. If you don't watch this, then you are a fool.

I don't typically give scores, but SM deserves an excellent to perfect score from (9 to 10)/10.

          Harry Potter 3

Good. Some logic missing from both the book's tale and the film, but a solid film. Enjoyable.

          Harry Potter 4

Ehh, but still okay. I'd say there's a little more action than before, but at the price of a logical plot. I seriously question the actions taken by some characters; some are obvious plot devices.

            UP in 3D

it was a good movie, although a bit sad in quite a few parts. soooooo, 9/10

and the 3D didn't add enough to really be worth wearing the annoying glasses for an hour and a half...

Saw it last night. Pretty good, IMO. Without spoiling anything, they went with a "this is an alternate reality/timeline" angle, so they were able to make changes to the original Star Trek story here and there. It's not just a re-telling of the original TV series.

Hardcore fanboys/Trekkies might be a little mad at some of the changes, but overall I think it works. It's a darker, grittier version story-wise. And the visuals are very good - the "new" old Enterprise looks slick.

                        Tropic Thunder

The great cast performances and funny dialogue saved a movie that has no real content to it. Downey Jr. is probably what made this film. "I'm a lead farmer mother ***er!"

Saw Terminator:Salvation today. I enjoyed it. Miles ahead of that bag of crap called T3.

Character development wasn't overly deep, but the action sequences were great. Very hot female pilot character in it as well.

Still not as good as the original, or T2, but if you're a fan of those movies, you should like this one as well.

Saw Defiance this weekend. Good movie based on a real story. Good character development that makes you feel that the actors are really bothers. Takes a good look at human nature in a very difficult situation. Delivers an overall good performance. Only negatives are the camerawork takes a minute to get used to in the beginning and that it is a dark film at times. But then again that is the setting.

That means that our forefathers were kicked out of every decent country in the world. We are the wretched refuse. We're the underdog. We're mutts! Here's proof: his nose is cold! But there's no animal that's more faithful, that's more loyal, more loveable than the mutt." -John Winger (Bill Murray) Stripes
