Taken. Quite possibly the least skilled evil henchmen in movie history. Seriously, once any bad guy started fighting the good guy the bad guy would be dead within ten seconds.
Taken as well. Bob has a good point. Definitely some of the quickest fight scenes ever.
Also, the plot really fails to address several side-issues. When you kill people in power, there are consequences. In this film, the protagonist gets none of it. If the writers had chosen to pursue the logical consequences of the protagonist's action, the film could easily have been 2.5-3 hours. As it it is, it is accompanied with plot holes, rather stupid side characters, and short fight scenes. At least it has some funny dialogue and an okay story.
Of course what do I know, everyone else in the audience, who vocalized their opinion, seemed to enjoy the film. I guess I'm just not as forgiving.
Watched Sergeant York starring Gary Cooper last week. Had been almost 15 years since i last saw it. Forgot how much of a religious movie it and was surprised by how good the movie was in terms of character development. Definitely a good watch if you like classics and historically based movies.
"We're all very different people. We're not Watusi. We're not Spartans. We're Americans, with a capital 'A', huh? You know what that means? Do ya? That means that our forefathers were kicked out of every decent country in the world. We are the wretched refuse. We're the underdog. We're mutts! Here's proof: his nose is cold! But there's no animal that's more faithful, that's more loyal, more loveable than the mutt." -John Winger (Bill Murray) Stripes
