American History X.. again Legendery and powerfull film with a legendery actor! Imo Takes alot of skill from both the actors and the directing team to pull off such a contriversal movie, And they seemed to make it almost look easy!

He is also pretty well built in this movie!

^^Those monsters kinda ruined the film a little for me.

Lol and you gotta love how Spartans hated Xerxes for having slaves and bla bla while Spartans themselves had over a million slaves themselves

You have to realize unlike than most Historical films that rely there visuals on what we today would call Plausible, 300 ventured more into the beliefs of those times when they believed in such gods and mystical creatures.. I think it made the film more natural and true.

I especially loved 300`s ending, which was just brilliant imo. Killing Xerxes would have been cheap as hell, good always prevails bs nobody cares about. The spartans getting their arses pwnd and Xerxes realising that he too bleeds and can be hurt by just some men was awesome.

Well, when a film is based on something that really happened, and then you see a couple of monsters runnning around, it does get weird.

True. However, The movie was not based on PURE fact it was more based on the stories and myths that surrounded that landmark battle in history. Thats what makes it interesting.

also, dunno if anyone noticed or not, but the film never claims to be a true representation of historical events, so this gave them the leeway to add extra bits in to it.
