    Hm. Never occurred to me that monitor was lacking probable driver. I doubt there's much help in that direction though. And I wouldn't be able to anything right now anyway. My parents live 6.5h car drive away from me and I was visiting for holidays. Did a XP reinstall (with the leftover XP from me) for the machince since my bro had been cheapskating years back and had installed, uh, a cd-keyless version of the OS and it was getting on my nerves.

    I phoned to my brother and it just happened that he also had a MX2 lying on the shelf. He did a quick test with it and it can output the 1440x960, so he's
    going there for Christmas and finish the job.

      8800 Ultra maybe?

      But seriously... a 5200 or a 6800gs if you can find one. If not just get a 7600gs.
