Sorry to burst your bubble but I bought it because I love ati tray tools also and ati tray tools does not support the 38xx series cards yet.

found that out the hard way. tried powerstrip; may give ati tool a go tomorrow.

looks like i need to reinstall 3dmark05. it won't get past the screensplash.

games are up and running after a few hiccups just fine, though.

nah...stock cooler is way too loud. that dustbuster is coming off in short order.

LOL, I find it pretty quiet compared to my x850xt. My computer is already so noisy though thats probably why it doesn't seem that loud to me.

Actually mine idles at 40C and doesnt go over 60C while playing games.

the top one is current benchie. bottom is prior, w/ x1950xt and older drivers no direct comparison, though i suspect i didn't get $200 out of the upgrade somehow. still, a quiet, cool, gpu? i'm happy-ish.

edit, oh, and that's with a pretty nicely (10-15%) overclocked x1950xt, btw. i've yet to stress the 3870.
