    e6750 or e6850?

Hi, getting a new pc wondering if a e6750 would be good enough to run games: COD4, BF2, ETQW etc.

Also I am not sure which mobo to get probaly looking at around less than AUD$150

What I am looking at so far
    e6750
    Gigabyte s3g mobo
    2gb corsair xms2 800mhz ram
    xfx 8800gt - $380
Thermaltake Soprano midi case with 430 watt psu

that's a great processor.... but make sure they give you a motherboard that offers 4 slots of at least PC5200 .. or more... and at least two pci-express x16 slots... so you can crossfire your ATI card or your Nvidia.....

you really have to make sure these guys aren't just making money off you

you seem to be buying a great comp..

make sure of these two things...

you have 4 slots for RAM ... with at least capacity of 4Gb of ram 5200.....

and that motherboard has at least two pci-express slots of x16....

OK??? MAKE SURE YOU GET THAT ON YOUR MOTHERBOARD...

don't let them dazzle you with that other stuff and sell you a crap motherboard...

it should support at least 4Gb RAM...

                AND .... have TWO pci-express x16 slots....

K??????? you want that.... make sure they give you that...

every thing else looks good... just make sure that the motherboard supports what I just said in last post.... or you buying something you can't upgrade and they are just unloading crap on you...

if you wanna save 100 buck now ... sure its fine for what you want...

but a year from now .... then you need a whole new comp.. I trying to help you save in the long run..

so make sure the comp has the stuff I said in the earlier post.... you might pay 100 more now ...

but say huge in the next year or two ok?

                    just my suggestion...

                    the 1x pci-express is USELESS...

                    if it's not x16 pci-express it don't matter....

that peri is nothing now days...

you want a motherboard with TWO pci-express x16 if you ever wanna crossfire your ATI or nvidia...

if you don't care about that and you are not a hardcore gamer... then you buying a great comp ok?

if you a hardcore gamer and wanna play games like crysis and others that are coming out .. you need what I said to you...

                        if not ... em..

and call of duty 4... that comp you buying I don't think it will play it good... it might play it .. .but if you do what I said and buy what I said . it willl.....

you need 2 pci-Express slots to crossfire or add addition cards... if you gonna buy a new comp these days you need that....

right now I have two card in my comp ... two ... 512Mb cards ATI .. look at my sig...

so i have 1023 video ram ... plus my 2Gg ram...

                        see?

if you aren't a hardcore gamer... you gonna buy a great comp there...

I know your only 17 years old..

but I would push them to give me a better motherboard...

                            that supports 4Gb ram..

                            and x16 pci-X

                            2 ... PORTS OF PCI-EXPRESS

                            ok?

they are trying to sell you old crap...

if it don't have four slots of ram and support 4Gb of ram...

                            and 2 pci-express slots that are x16

you made a post here and you see my credentials at the first posts...

                            hope I helped you...

is it worth to get two of these asus 8600gt ddr3 512mb $138 instead of one 8800gt? 2x 8600gts is cheaper!

                              sli mobo if getting 2x8600gt

also with these setups (8800gt or dual sli 8600gts) is 430w enough?

                              oops forgot link for 8800gt
