removable hard drive !

just a questing is a removable hard drive *LINK FOR IMAGE* as fast as a internal hard drive ?

this is because i cant fit another Hard drive in my PC *no free bays for it*and external on`s are to slow . if there same speed well save loads of time just sticking a removable drive in the empty slot for anther cd/dvd drive.

what you can do is get an internal hard drive and then buy an enclosure for it. That way you can still have 7200 rpms and it will be external. I'm not sure if the USB will slow it down though. Take a look at some of the enclosures here.

esata is just as fast as sata but external :)
If your motherboard doesnt have esata you can always buy a esata pci card.

been lookin can only seme to find SATA to USB not sata to sata .
thinkn the Removable Hard Drive is best so far . if its same speed as a internal .

Firewire is a failure. Its good theoretically, just hasn't been put to use. They will be rolling out USB 3.0 soon.

If you are willing to sacrifice a 5.25 bay, then why not just use an adapter kit?

Just use a converter as above.

In reality, there's zero difference between USB2 and SATA when taking into account actual drive performance - high density HDDs are barely skimming 80MB/S which saturates USB2.0 fully. Of course, USB2.0 has much lower real world bandwidth. Firewire on the other hand, would have been just as fast.
