p.s caperstrike did u have or fix firewall in vista because it blocks my windows update:cry:

p.s.s I have just gone from 64 bit to 32 bit and it fixed 2 games Arma & Call of Juarez but still having issues with Nascar simracing 3Dsetup(with cube game engine)<windows wont approve it

my sound failed on 64 bit both in bf2 and dirt even though the driver was ok

if vista 32 fails now i will demand my money back and upgrade back to xp

Don't know about the firewall, but what you should have done is disable the firewall, run every Windows Update, get the hotfixes (go to the nVidia site, as if you were downloading vista x64 drivers and grab them there) and kill off as many background things as possible.

I have disabled the firewall ,its the only way i get updates or download active X`s:cry:,microsoft was ment to call me back about it but i guess that was to hard

that was the isssue with 64 and 32 bit after fresh installs,firewall error out of the box?

M24 = ok

L96 = awesomeness

SVD = L33T

I use to h8 it but now its my fav sniper rifle in the game. I'm not talking 3-4 shots to kill someone (ok sometimes yes, bunny hoping and running around spaming med packs can do that). but head shots from far range all the time. I got the feel for it, makes me feel dirty. I always look forward to the first person to yell "YOU FUKING HAX0RRZ! OMGZ ONNOZ!!!!" Lol

but back to the point of your thread, well, you went with vista and didn't do a dual OS boot either so what more can I say? At least you used the appropiate term "upgrade to XP".
