    No DX9 VS 10, it's 3DMark06 FFS.

Well, it still stutters like a whore on crack (if you've seen one, you'll know). Don't know why either. Creative drivers are ****ty.

Creative lost any new business from me when they started to charge Audigy owners for the "ALchemy" wrapper vs giving it to the XFI owners for free..

Next build won't have a creative card in it.

What are you going to use, the £200 Asus Xonar or the cheap and easy Intel/Realtek HD Audio. There is no other competition to the X-Fi.

                  The £30 M-Audio

Acclaimed audio interfaces, studio monitors, and keyboard controllers

                  Apparently good, not sure.

Yeah full EAX 1 and 2 tops (and all done in software), and if you run Vista forget it for drivers if you have a Revolution. The only Revo with Vista drivers is the 5.1, and 32 bit only at that. Oh and Dsound in Vista means nothing.

You forget about the new Auzentech Prelude? And all the Xonar is is another C-Media based card just like the X-Meridian, just with a fancier package and a higher price tag because of the Asus name.

                          Guess you missed this,

                          and also posted on Guru3d.

Oh and as to what this thread was originally about, just tested in BF2 and not necessarily any faster but definitely smoother with better color and IQ than the 163.44.

you won't use creative stuff cuz they gave the more expensive card owners something for free?

Why should they give out something free when there is money to be made?
