In games? Check your resolution and refresh rates.

theres a known problem with these drivers and 1440 x 900 monitors. No matter what you do, its uncorrectable. Trust me. It only affects certain monitors though. I now have a 1680 x 1050 monitor, so they might work.

The monitor will set the right reso of 1440x900 but the graphics card doesn't seem to get it. It sets the reso. too high making the screen extend off the edges, meaning when you move your mouse to the far left or right, the screen moves.

These have been working fine on my SLI setup since yesterday. I used 1680 x 1050 resolution.

Hmm can't wait to try it out.

I'm wondering, Can I just install ontop of my 163.44 driver or do I need to do it some other way?

What I did was uninstall 163.44 through control panel, reboot in safe mode and clean out the remainder of Nvidia drivers in DC pro, then restart, install the beta drivers, restart.

This will ensure a clean install.

If yall don't wanna fool with these just wait another week or so a set of Official Drivers that should add more performance are due out before the 25th.

For the most part Beta's seem to give the best performance over the WHQL drivers.

Install, if they don't work, do a system restore or reinstall the current official drivers. Not that hard... :|:

LOL I've been testing video drivers since the 5x.xx series for Nvidia.. it was just a suggestion with the two week spread between this one and the next..trust me

Its something I do for alot of companies...I've got 5 comps built by me that get parts changed out alot for testing as well...been there done that.

But as for system restore...ugg I kill that on all my computers..thats what Ghost is for and images :yay:

Alright, Vista has just ripped the ****e out of XP in 3DMark06.

At 1280x1024, 4xAA, 15 background processes taking 218MB of RAM and negligible CPU time, I get 6340 (2785, 2467, 2123) on WinXP. Vista, with ALL the works (Aero with full transparency, Windows Defender, PerfectDisk and around 38 processes taking 550MB), I score 7388 (3391, 3026, 2041).

Would love to see actual benchmark comparisons now. Whatever the hell nVidia did with these drivers, just wow. Both have 163.67 drivers, just for reference. Never had a problem with any beta drivers aside from previous performance drops running a beta game on a beta OS with beta drivers.

what video card is that? because you mgiht be testing dx9 vs 10, which is biased.
