I run a 320Mb 88GTS if their IS a memory leak it sure hasn't affected me and I've used the card to run GTR2, Oblivion, Stalker, Fear and BF2 all of them flawlessly.

Try ALT+Tabbing in and out at times when FPS goes low, you mught be surprised. It doesn't affect everyone, and it's most prominent at high resolutions with AA and AF boosted.

I have the exact same brand card as you as well.

XFX has a secondary warranty feature, have the seller transfer ownership to you when he ships it and you'll get the full lifetime warranty.

Note: This is for XFX cards ONLY, all other manufacturers (including evga) will void your warranty if you buy a gpu off ebay.

So far, my 8800GTS rocks everything I have thrown at it. Well, except for UT2004. It crashes after a few minutes and any 3D game after that runs like a slideshow until I reboot. It's nice to play Stalker, Fear, Oblivion, and BF2 all maxxed out at 1600x1200.

It absolutely destroys anything on the Source engine, FEAR also.

Make sure to have a good CPU, my E6300@2.4GHz is bottlenecking this thing hardcore (I tested this on CS Source).
an E6300 at the clock you have it, shouldn't bottleneck it. And if it did, it shouldn't be noticeable. I have an E6600 at the same clock, i can't imagine it bottlenecking anything on the market except maybe 8800GTXs in Quad SLi lol.
