    Good card?

I have a 17" screen and a 7600gt at the moment. What do you reckon?

I'd buy it if I had the $$ :p but not sure how great it will be for DX10.

It's a very good card, can't go wrong. Right now there's a memory leak that makes BF2 and a few other games almost unplayable at certain points, but ALT+TAB fixes it (for a few minutes).

It absolutely destroys anything on the Source engine, FEAR also.

Make sure to have a good CPU, my E6300@2.4GHz is bottlenecking this thing hardcore (I tested this on CS Source).

I'm not too worried about Pure DX10 games, as they are still almost half a year away, at which point i will buy a different card.

One thing i would like to know is whether i still receive my full warranty when i buy the card on ebay? Or do i have to buy it on a licensed retailer such as Ebuyer.com to get the full warranty?

Don't bother with it for DX10, simple as that.

Also, it depends what you're planning to play. Resolution has very little impact on performance as far as I see.

1280x1024. All modern games high. Should do it right?

              What about the warranty then?

I wouldn't recommend eBay but most offer some sort of warranty (Buy-It-Now). One company was selling them for £145 a while back, I practically bought a 7600GT for that price.

I bought a new monitor with the card, once you go hi-res it's very hard to go back. Makes lower res games look like toys. Hard to explain, really.

With a manufacturers warranty and £20 cheaper prices.... what can go wrong?

So, i looked everywhere. Where would you get the card for £160?

                      eBay

The xpertvision cards are the cheapest, but I don't know how good they are in terms of reliability.

                      Me, I couldn't give two ****s about a warranty.

Just bought it. I'm getting ready to see BF2 as it was meant to be played!

Seriously? What happened to the charity trust fund thingy? :P

I love those impulse buys. I didn't feel anything when I clicked "buy-it-now". Welcome to a whole new bugfest, by the way - http://forums.techarp.com/showthread.php?p=311779.

I'm being attacked from all sides by ****ty FPS bugs - only in Bugfest 2

                            And i dont have Vista!

It's not a Vista specific problem.
