I was looking at the Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 Dual Core Processor LGA775 Conroe 3.0GHZ 1333FSB 4MB Retail because it's only $3 dollars difference but i really don't have any idea what "go" stepping means nor how I gain from having a slightly higher fsb. As far as the case goes that's why I selected the modular PSU so I can use just the cables I want and also I'm thinking of just getting 1 extra fan for the side.

Ok well I was very curious about these new cpu's and did some quick research after my post. "go stepping" means that you may further overclock your cpu using less voltage than a E6600 that uses the "B2 stepping". Easy translation is you can OC your CPU more or just have a cooler stock clock cpu.

As far as quads go, they are not true quads at heart. This was a "quicky" pulled by intel. I'm sure you've read people making this point along consumer replys somewhere too. Sure you can go with a quad but it runs in B2 stepping vs the new go stepping mode thus running hotter still. You are prolly best off buying a E6750 or E6850. I myself, am considering an upgrade to one of these and are currently looking at the multipliers after this post

As far as case fans go, that would be the only spot I'd recommend. Even then it is not neccessary really.

I'm really not sure what case I should get now because I was also considering getting another P180 but the P182 although I was kinda disappointed with mine because I had to keep getting my fans replaced because they were dying all the time and it's not all the quiet. Any suggestions as far as similar cases with really good airflow?

I am so happy witht he antec 900 I won't look at another case which may make my opinion completed bios but just goes to show the satisfactory I am getting out of this case. It has great airflow, lots of room and looks awesome in the dark.

I think sniper mentioned that the antec shows a lot of dust build up on the front which I will add is true. That really isn't a problem though, I simply swept my hand across it and most of the dust was gone... Besdies, I work during the day and play during the night for the most part so all I see is cool looking blue LED's. Not to mention my computer is by my feet too... I don't think I'd be playing to well in bf2 if it was on the top of my desk so I could daze into it constantly

theres is a Q6600 with the new G0 stepping aswell.

I was really considering the 6850 but like scinto said above that the new Q6600's have "go" stepping also. Also, I'm really torn between the Antec 900 or P182 because I love the looks of both but I don't think dust should be a turn off for me. Like you said above how the Antec 900 looks is what originally caught me and I think I might change my mind again and get that. One of the main reasons I like the Blue LED in the Antec 900 is that most of my peripherials have blue led's on them including the buttons on my samsung monitor. So, i'll change to the antec 900 but I'm still not totally sure. :shakehead: lol

the 900's a nice case, nice temps for everything, but i find it to be a tight fit,

Damn, that's a nice looking case and I also found one I like better the Thermaltake VA8003BWS Black ATX Tower Case 10X5.25 2X3.5 6X3.5INT No PS 25CM Fan Window but I don't think I can justify spending another $70 for the case...or maybe I can lol I'll have to see. Good choice though, i'll definately consider it.
