If you really think that, then I would like you to post a new thread with this evidence. Strangely enough religious discussions doesn't seem to be against the rules, but I have a feeling that will change soon

Thats usually how it goes. A religious debate is so predictable these days that you can answer any creationist proposed problem with pretty much a Youtube video which talks about-
        God of the gaps
        Watchmaker theory
        Circular reasoning
        Comparison to Hitler and/or Stalin

Not in US universities. It's very uncool to be a christian or anything but a far-left liberal. I have professors crack politically or religiously offensive jokes and half the class laughs because they find it hilarious and most of the others chuckle because they don't want to stand out.

(I'm not a conservative for the record )

OK! Too much srs bsns for this thread. Back to being off-topic!

Theres a statistical correlation between religion, income, education. And its not in favour of religion. If religious people are made fun of in universities, it still doesnt change the fact that there is exactly 0% chance for an atheist to become the president of the States.

I dont claim to be a victim, I just think theres a problem and claiming that having no religion gets you popularity points in a country where your group makes up 15% is strange.

Not in my generation... and not in the US. The majority of students and teachers are generally using evolutionary based theories and philosophies.

              It is very "cool."

                That doesnt make them atheists.

Well I tend to generalize when I mean atheists then, maybe I should broaden my horizons to "those who believe the existence of a God is silly, or not possible."

This is true, but Kyle is also right. It's a very good generalization.

Surely you are not complaining because a university does not treat creation myths equally to scientific theories?
That has nothing to do with Atheism, since most Christians accept evolution. Including the Catholic church: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catholi..._and_evolution

Isn't the Cat Index for this thread getting too low?

I know, Im weak. But in my defense, this is a sensitive topic which could explode at any second. I dont want to be around when nukes will be lobbed.
