    Well I HAVE to play it without AA. That will change when I get my new graphics card.

      i have the same card 7600gt agp

      settings i use...

      Terrain -high
      Effects - lhigh
      Geometry - high
      Texture - high
      Lighting - low
      Dyn Shadow - off
      Dyn Light - off
      AA - 2x
      Text Filter - high

      View Distance - 100%

      fps 70-90

      heavy action around 50-60

      very playable imo and turning off shadow and light gives the card a nice boost,so i add 2x AA

      res 1024-768

      cpu amd 64 4200+ @stock 2.2ghz with 2gb ram

        Re: Settings I could play on with a 7600GT?

        The 7600 (GT) ran all high, 4x AA easily for me, but with a Core 2 Duo @ 2.4GHz, and 2GB of RAM and restricted to 1280x1024 and less, and general overclocking (I may have mentioned this a zillion times or not).

        For practicality, performance, and aesthetics, I now run:

        Terrain: High
        => Simply aesthetics

        Effects: High
        => Aesthetics, smoke trails, etc

        Geometry: High
        => Very important that this is on high! Must be the first setting to be placed on "high" - if you can afford only one "high" setting, this is it. Read up on this.

        Textures: High
        => Just aesthetics...

        Lighting: Low!
        => Turns off shadows, makes everything far easier to see, for me, easier on the eyes, and you can't beat the 30 second load times

        Dynamic Shadows: Off
        => as a result of Lighting (Lighting at low = dynamic shadows turned off)

        Dynamic Light: Low
        => Aesthetics, I see no real difference aside from vague performance differences.

        Anti-Aliasing: 4x
        => I can't f*cking stand jagged edges. This is actually 4x 9-tap mode set using nHancer & Rivatuner in the application profiles, and also set to "4samples" in video.con - A drastic increase in image quality over standard 4xMSAA comparable to 8xMSAA but with no real (2-3fps) performance hit! If you can't use this mode, consider 2xQ, very similiar. nVidia's anti-aliasing techniques > ATI's, no comparison here.

        Texture Filtering: High
        => This corresponds to the degree of anisotropic filtering to be applied. I forget, but High = 4xAF, I enforce 16xAF (see anti-aliasing on how this is done), note that on Vista, it's a bit of a pain in the arse to configure like this.

        View Distance Scale: 100%
        => No questions. No performance hit on such a ridiculously ****tily implemented game engine.

        All I can say is that I'm loving the 30 second load times, the improved lighting conditions (hehe) and the eye candy.

        Sometimes it pays to run "low" settings :p

              Heres Mine:

              Terrain - Low
              Effects - Med
              Geometry - high
              Texture - low
              Lighting - low
              Dyn Shadow - off
              Dyn Light - med
              AA - off
              Text Filter - med

              View Distance - 100%

              Raedeon 1300/1550 Series

              = Still get stuttering lag at the beginning of the first round. Once it goes thats it. It would be lovely to have faster loading time and be able to play on all High

                        I would say just go with the nvidia forceware. Personally I don't trust tweaked drivers :p

                          Tweaked drivers are usually better, however, you do come across some that have major bugs. But when this happens, you simply have to go back to the older ones and wait for a new release or use Nvidia's ones temporarily.

                          Look up Tweaks R Us drivers.

                                My 7600GT was delivered yesterday, when I put it in, it was better than I expected Mostly high settings, with 2x Anti Aliasing, pretty constant 60 - 70fps with the occasional drop to about 45 (This was on project reality as well, so it should be better on vanilla:nod:), you won't be dissapointed with this card. :)
