What exactly will you be keeping from your old comp?

your going to want to upgrade your CPU sooner than later with that build - but for the price tag limit your throwing out there its a nice build.

Cloaker left potential for your build - if you don't like your CPU its the same socket type for the best cpu line out there. If your willing to spend a few hundred more, go for the E6600 from canadacomputers.

Just wondering if tigerdirect.ca maybe of any use to you? I rather buy my parts from stores at home than order online... You end up usually paying the same anyways with shipping and waiting, but thats just my thoughts...

very good build cloaker has listed there only one thing left out ... DVD drive but that shouldnt matter too much as im guessing you have one in your current comp thats working so just swap that over n replace it when you get a bit more money or something

i been looking at getting an asus widescreen 22", not too sure how that will come up on your budget but you can get the 19" widescreen here in Australia for $300

Get the 8800, and a cheaper monitor. It's not f*cking worth it, getting an 8600GTS and a good monitor, which is the equivalent of an athlete with broken legs.
