Camperstrike, you just linked to the 8600GTS. I believe you meant the 8800GTS in your earlier post.

The problem is that the CPU that is already picked out will bottleneck this video card.

At stock speeds the lowest i would suggest with the 8800 is the E6600 @ 2.4Ghz. If you are gonna overclock then you can get the E6420 and overclock it above 2.4Ghz.

$190-240 for 19' monitors

The original rig will run all high 4xAA(probly 8xAA) 8xAF 1280x1024

do not get 8600gts..i just got this card yesterday and im only geetting 25fps..playing bf2142 on all high most of the time i get 15 fps ..my advise go for the 8800gts..i will use the step up program to swith to 8800gts..yea u could do that too..ok go buy this card and see if u like it..then if not just do the step up program. :)
